Fair Deal Now - Air Canada Workers Info Page‏

As you all know, CAW members at Air Canada are locked in a very challenging labour dispute. The company has so far refused to budge on a proposal that would see drastic (and negative) changes to the workers’ pension plan, including the creation of a poorer plan for all new hires. Now the federal government is stepping in and suggesting it will pass back-to-work legislation as early as Thursday. Our members have resoundingly said “no way” to the company proposals and furious at the Harper government’s heavy-handed approach. Not surprisingly, our folks continue to enthusiastically walk picket lines and rally at airports from coast to coast.

Over the past few days there has been a lot of information being circulated, both internally through the union and also in the media. There have been a lot of photos taken at rallies as well as video. Twitter is abuzz with updates, as is Facebook. Our union has sent out a steady stream of media advisories and news is turning very quickly.

In an effort to keep everyone sufficiently informed, we’ve created a new page on the CAW National Web Site devoted to the Air Canada situation.

On this page you’ll find a compilation of news stories, photos, videos, links to social media sites and a lot more. Please take a moment and visit the site. Share it through your social media networks and help spread the word!
