Gordon Piper Memorial Scholarship

Josie Keller, Josie's Great Granddaughter Alexa and President Gord McGrath. Cheque presentation for the formation of the Brother Gordon Piper Memorial Scholarship.

CAW Local 114 is pleased to announce the formation of the Gordon Piper Memorial Scholarship, made possible by the generosity of Gord's long-time partner and soul mate Josie Keller.

This scholarship will be for the exclusive use of the members on Vancouver Island where Brother Piper was the Local Union Representative.

In keeping with Brother Piper's areas of expertise and Union activism, the scholarship will be used for members interested in taking courses in Occupational Health & Safety, Workers compensation and Women's Issues that are offered by the CAW and held on Vancouver Island.

Recipients will be chose by the Education Chairperson, in conjunction with the Local Union Representative on Vancouver Island.

This scholarship will be a lasting memorial to Brother Piper and his passion for the Union movement.
